Modbus
|
Modbus Protocol is a messaging structure developed by Modicon in 1979. Modbus allows for communication between various intelligent devices. Modbus is used in master-slave applications to transfer discrete/analog I/O and register data between devices. It can also be used to monitor and program devices using PCs and HMIs. Currently, the Modbus protocol is supported over serial RS232 connection or over an Ethernet TCP/IP link. |
